We have all been SENT!
In John 17:18, Jesus says, “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.” The truth is, we all have been sent. Jesus was SENT into this world to rescue us. He was SENT to save. Likewise, Jesus SENT us into our homes, communities, and world with His message of salvation. We are SENT to share.
No matter what we do, where we go, or who we meet, the inescapable directive of our lives is this: We are SENT.
The programming at Falls Creek this summer will help students learn how to share their faith, understand the mission of being SENT by Christ, and to mobilize for the fulfillment of Christ’s directive in their lives.
We'll be using this blog to give more information about summer camp, but one of the best places to get the latest information about camp is at one of the five free regional Falls Creek pre-meetings.
April 26 - First
April 29 – First East,
May 3 – Southern Hills, OKC
May 4 - Woodward, FBC
May 6 – First, Owasso
Each of these meetings is from 6:30-8:30 p.m., but if you came to the regional meeting last year, you can come a few minutes later at 7:00 p.m. From 6:30-7:00 p.m. we will cover the basics of coming to Falls Creek; then at 7:00 p.m., we will jump into all the specifics of this particular year at camp.
Each regional meeting will provide upcoming program/schedule changes, theme ideas, cabin ideas, recreation changes, cook swap shop, camp registration info, and more. Things change every year at Falls Creek and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to hear about the changes and prepare their group. This year it is especially important to hear more about My316, the evangelism method we will be sharing this summer.
Please register to let us know you are coming at www.skopos.org in the Falls Creek information section. Registration is not mandatory, but it certainly helps us guess better when we prepare snacks and chairs. When you come to the preparation meeting, extra Falls Creek materials will be available and you will be EXEMPT from the orientation meeting on Monday of camp, which will save you a bunch of time on Monday.
For more information on this summer at Falls Creek and to register for the preparation meetings, go to www.skopos.org for all the latest information.
